A heartfelt animated short film exploring the relationship between a wise grandfather (the magician) and his grandson. The idea behind the short film, based on the “filastrocca” (kids poems that are usually read before going to bed), is to illustrate the beauty and fragility of love between a grandfather and his grandchild and how the child’s desire for endless wonders ultimately leads to the realization that the true magic isn’t in the gifts or the tricks—it’s in their relationship.
Project Goal.
My goal is to use the role of the magician and his grandson as a narrative tool to explain to kids what real magic is. Through heartfelt visuals, I aim to tell a story that shows how true magic lies not in tricks or objects but in love, connection, and shared moments.
